Frequently asked questions
My apps didn't unlock after logging a shot. What do I do?
Force-quit and reopen ShotLock first — the unlock signal usually lands within seconds. If apps stay blocked, check Settings → Screen Time is enabled for ShotLock, and as a last resort you can disarm protection from ShotLock's Protection tab.
How do I change my shot day or schedule?
Open the Today tab, tap your schedule, and pick a new day or cadence. Protection and reminders move automatically with the new schedule.
How do I restore my Premium purchase on a new phone?
Install ShotLock, open Settings → Restore Purchases, and sign in with the same Apple ID you bought with. Apple handles the receipt — no ShotLock account needed.
Can I move my data to a new iPhone?
Yes. On your old phone, open Settings → Backup & Restore and use Export Backup and Export photo archive — each saves a file to your device. Store those files somewhere safe (iCloud Drive, Files, or a computer). On your new phone, install ShotLock, open Settings → Backup & Restore, and use Restore from Backup and Restore photo archive to bring everything back.
How do I cancel my subscription?
Subscriptions are managed by Apple: Settings → your name → Subscriptions → ShotLock → Cancel. You keep Premium until the period ends, and your data is never held hostage.
How do I delete all my data?
Settings → Delete all data wipes everything from your device immediately. Since we don't hold a copy, that's the whole process.
