Shot Protection

The only tracker that won't take no for an answer

Reminders are easy to swipe away. ShotLock's Protection mode uses Apple's Screen Time All Apps category to block every non-system third-party app — social, games, streaming, whatever steals your evening — from shot time until your dose is logged. Log your shot, get your apps back. It's the nudge that actually works.

  • You choose when protection arms around your shot time
  • Logging your shot instantly unlocks everything
  • Powered by Apple's Screen Time framework — private by design

Estimated med levels

See what's in your body, not just what you injected

Every dose follows a curve: absorption, peak, fade. ShotLock models your estimated medication level from your actual shot history and shows where you are in your weekly cycle — so side-effect windows and hungry days finally make sense.

  • Pharmacokinetic curve built from your logged shots
  • Cycle phases explain how each week typically feels
  • Side-effect logging that maps onto your cycle

Trial benchmarks

Am I on track? Now you can actually answer that

ShotLock plots your weight curve against published clinical-trial results — STEP 1 for semaglutide, SURMOUNT-1 for tirzepatide — week by week. No vibes, no guessing: a cited, honest benchmark of how trial participants progressed at the same point.

  • Week-by-week comparison with published trial curves
  • Every number cited in the in-app Research Library
  • Informational only — your clinician sets your goals

Progress photos

The scale plateaus. Photos don't.

Take aligned progress photos with onion-skin overlay, compare any two days with a reveal slider, and turn your whole journey into a shareable timelapse — including a celebration video made for sharing.

  • Onion-skin camera lines up every shot perfectly
  • Before/after reveal slider and side-by-side compare
  • Journey timelapse and celebration video export

Frequently asked questions

What is ShotLock?

ShotLock is an iPhone app for people on GLP-1 medications like Ozempic, Wegovy, Mounjaro and Zepbound. It tracks your shots, estimates your medication levels, logs side effects and weight, and — uniquely — can block your distracting apps until you've logged your dose on shot day.

How does the app blocking actually work?

ShotLock uses Apple's Screen Time (Family Controls) framework with the All Apps category. When protection arms around your shot time, every non-system third-party app is blocked. The moment you log your dose, everything unlocks. Apple's framework means ShotLock never sees what's inside your apps.

Which medications does ShotLock support?

Ozempic, Wegovy, Mounjaro, Zepbound, compounded semaglutide and tirzepatide, and retatrutide (chart support). Weekly and custom schedules are supported, including dose titration.

Are the medication level estimates accurate?

They're modeled estimates based on published pharmacokinetics (your medication's absorption and half-life) applied to your actual logged shots. They're informational — useful for understanding your weekly rhythm — not a measurement or medical advice.

What do the clinical trial comparisons show?

ShotLock plots your weight progress against published results from trials like STEP 1 (semaglutide) and SURMOUNT-1 (tirzepatide) at the same week of treatment. Every figure is cited in the in-app Research Library. Individual results vary widely — the benchmark is context, not a target.

Is ShotLock free?

Yes — shot logging and weight tracking are free forever, no account needed. Premium unlocks Shot Protection, med-level estimates, trial benchmarks, progress photos and more, with a free trial so you can test everything first.

Where is my data stored?

On your device. ShotLock doesn't require an account, doesn't upload your health data, and doesn't sell data to anyone. You can export or delete everything at any time.

Is ShotLock available on Android?

ShotLock is currently iPhone-only. Android is on the roadmap — the app-blocking protection depends on platform capabilities we're actively evaluating on Android.
